1982
Steel, paint, upholstery
86 × 48 × 50 cm
Edition unlimited
Laverrière's chair Chaise pour le Cabanon à Magescq evokes her close friendship with fellow designers such as Jean Royère, Charlotte Perriand, and Georges Jouve with whom she collaborated. Its ergonomic, Modernist design is upholstered with a blueish grey linen-blend suggested by the artist Nairy Baghramian, Laverrière's favorite collaborator. The soft and sturdy fabric is densely woven, and the black enameled metal tubes are gently bent, tailored to the human body. The chair is versatile and can be used as a dining or office chair.
