The mirror object Demain, a round mirror framed with varnished pear wood and almost fully surmounted by a bright rainbow, embodies hope. The rainbow, an emblem of the LGBTQI* community, symbolizes Laverrière's hope for a society that embraces every form of gender identity and sexuality. In the lower area of the wooden frame is a small convex shaped mirror that evokes a fortune teller's ball or an 18th-century seeing device. It is one of the rare objects in the series that can function as an actual mirror.

Evocations is a series of sculptural mirror objects that Laverrière begun in 1989, when she stopped accepting commissions and instead adopted a new credo, "It's useful to have useless things," that would guide her for the rest of her life. Seemingly useless as mirrors because of their convex and concave forms, elaborated frames, and their distortion of reality, the objects appear more like art objects than functional mirrors. These unique pieces are aesthetically and conceptually layered, based on political allegories, surrealistic shapes, poetical narratives, and Laverrière's personal interests.
